Major collection of climatological datasets, with a very flexible user interface and useful download format options; known to have problems whenever the interface has been "upgraded," so be prepared.
This digital total-sediment-thickness database for Kenya’s ocean and has been compiled by the NOAA National Geophysical Data Center (NGDC). The data were gridded with a grid spacing of 5 arc-minutes by 5 arc-minutes. Sediment-thickness data were compiled from three principle sources:
(i) previously published isopach maps
(ii) ocean drilling results, both from the Ocean Drilling Program (ODP) and the Deep Sea Drilling Project (DSDP); and
(iii) seismic reflection profiles archived at NGDC as well as seismic data and isopach maps available as part of the IOC's International Geological-Geophysical Atlas of the Pacific Ocean . http://localhost:8080/geonetwork/srv/en/user.login
This is the Kenya Area of Interest including bathymetry contours from the GEBCO datasets for the world's oceans. The Centenary Edition of the GEBCO Digital Atlas, was published by British Oceanographic Data Centre (BODC) in April 2003 to coincide with the 100th anniversary of the initiation of the GEBCO Chart series. This release includes new bathymetric compilations for the Arctic Ocean, the Indian Ocean, the northeast and central-eastern Atlantic, the Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico, the Weddell Sea and the waters around New Zealand. The Centenary Edition GDA includes the first release of the GEBCO One Minute Grid, providing bathymetry data on a one minute interval global grid. GEBCO published by the BODC on behalf of the Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission (IOC) of UNESCO and the International Hydrographic Organization (IHO). http://localhost:8080/geonetwork/srv/en/user.login
ETOPO1 is a 1 arc-minute global relief model of Earth's surface that integrates land topography and ocean bathymetry. It was built from numerous global and regional data sets. The relief for the rest of the world is the same in both versions. Shoreline, bathymetric, topographic, integrated bathymetric–topographic, and bedrock digital datasets were obtained from several U.S. government agencies, international agencies and academic institutions. http://localhost:8080/geonetwork/srv/en/user.login
This contains mean chlorophyll concentrations for Kenya. It was obtained from SeaWifs OceanColor Web 2005 at 9km resolution.
