Sea-level data from Kenyan stations
The sea level data (hourly, daily and monthly means) for the Kenyan stations (Mombasa and Lamu) are available
at KMFRI in the Joint Archive Sea Level (JASL) format.
For Mombasa station, available data is from 1975/6. This data was collected by David Pugh from the Permanent Service for Mean Sea Level (PSMSL) from June 1975 to June 1976.
The second data set for Mombasa is from the tide gauge installed at Liwatoni jetty in Kilindini harbour by University of Hawaii Sea Level Centre (UHSLC) and managed by KMFRI. The data is from 1986-2004. There are some few data gaps when the gauge was not operational. However, most of the data for this period is available on CD Rom.
The data available from Lamu tide station is in digital form and analogue charts. The analogue charts covers data from 1990 to 1992 and digital data is from 1996–2004.
All the digital data from both stations are available in International data centres namely PSMSL and UHSLC.
